Gemstone Flower Rings!!
I've been wanting to incorporate my gemstone flower drops into rings--and I've found a design I love. They wrap around the finger and are quite comfortable, adjustable and easy to wear. Serious bling!

Keeping Flowers Blooming Through the Cold Months
Outside in my Connecticut garden, the perennials are cut back, my hydrangeas wrapped in burlap and mulch is mounded around the tender plants--but I plan to keep the flowers blooming on my jewelry bench. Luscious briolettes in all colors lend themselves perfectly to my gemstone flower wire-wrapping technique. I've hung them from handmade earwires and plan to add them to lariat style necklaces this week. Enjoy.

Luscious Hearts
In the style and feel of my freeform and gem wrapped flower pendants, I created some heart pendants. I had a couple of gem wrapped heart earrings that I made last Valentine's but why wait for Valentines Day? I wrapped the wire frames in monochromatic shades that work throughout the year (no pinks, or reds) and added vintage swarovski montee highlights to the gold fill series. These hearts are dramatic and gem-encrusted, while still feeling light and airy. They are all available on my etsy site and soon to my main site. Let me know what you think...

Back from First Vacation of the Summer...
...and while vacation is great--it's so hard to be away from the wire and stones. I did try to dream up new designs while lounging on the beach and am getting started as soon as the suitcases are unpacked. The colors by the ocean and organic shapes are certainly a pervasive theme with my work, so an oceanside vacation provides plenty of inspiration.

Growing Vines
Flowers, gardens and all things organic are a constant theme with me and jewelry ideas that reflect these themes zip through my mind at a quick clip. Someday I'll be diligent about making sketches... These vine earrings with various colors of freshwater pearls and turquoise are the latest. Necklaces and infinite variations in color and gold to follow.
